Dropped by the Big Names – Armin Van Buuren

Armin Van Burren
I have had the pleasure of seeing Armin Van Buuren spin twice. The second time was when Perfect and I met on the dance floor. It was a good night to say the least! Armin Van Buuren has such a nice style, light and trancey, but only quality trance! Here are three of my favourite tracks I was introduced to by Armin:
Talk Like a Stranger (Markus Schulz Mix) – Deepsky
This track has a thumping baseline juxtaposed against the sweet female vocals of Jes Brieden that takes the listener into day-dreamland, or to the middle of the dance floor. It has long been one of my faves!
I don’t know anything about this track, other than it is also from Armin’s Universal Religion 2004, it is the opener to the live mix to be specific, and it is a super neat tune. All spacey, and dancey as only 2004 could have pulled off.
Outsider – Kirsty Hawkshaw & Tenshia
Sadly, I don’t know much about this track either. I believe I first heard it a an Armin show, and then tracked it down with great determination! I love the tune’s unique layering of different percussion elements, and Kirst Hawkshaw’s beautiful vocals singing of self reflection and rapture.

Nice comment, Timmy – oops…I mean Jimmy. But you should at least be able to string together a somewhat coherent sentence before you have any credibility. What’s with the hate anyway? Did you get turned down at an Armin show so now you hate his music and anybody who listens to it?
Armin’s not bad. Electro is good too. It’s all dance music anyway and stems from the same roots. Anybody who understood that wouldn’t make such idiotic claims about what style is or isn’t “the future”.

I love Armin, his trance mixes are top notch and quality stuff! My introduction to trance came via his music and no amount of inept negativity will sway a real fan; so don’t stress it, darlings, xoxoxo!
