Well, I’ve been putting off doing this for quite a while… leaving my darling blog in a sadly neglected state. I’ve lost the time I once had for Road 2 Nowhere, and now must put it to rest. I will always love music though, and will intermitently write about the tunes I’m lovin’ at my personal blog marilynburgess.com. Please feel free to check in with me there! I write about whatever floats my boat at the moment there… no rhyme nor reason. So I’ll highlight the music section rss feed here, for those who would like to keep up with the music I’m feeling in the future.

With this last post, I bid you, my beloved reader, adieu, and wish you well. Perhaps I’ll see you, when we finally reach nowhere.

Muah! Much love!

I have yet to give Grizzly Bear an honest try. I’m sure they are awesome, with the catchy ditty’s they have in commercials and all,  but you know, there’ s only so much time in the day! I’m grateful I didn’t miss their delightful cover of Hot Chip‘s Boy from School, because it is something special, beautiful and contemplative.

This has been out for a while… I just love it. Gotta love Katy Perry for sending such a good message to the young ones.

Thank you to The 2 Bears for bringing the steel drums into my life on this rainy, Pacific North West day. So lovely, warm and fuzzy!

Daniel Lanois has a new band. They call themselves Black Dub, and their debut, self-titles album is to be released tomorrow. Check out the first single from the album below. If it’s any indication of the rest of the album, then we are in for a real treat tomorrow! And after Halloween!

I Believe in You – Black Dub

For those of you out there who know and love Chris Whitley, his daughter, Trixie Whitely, is the source of that raw angelic voice you hear in this tune. Check out this live video of Trixie Whitley playing “Silent Rebel” in New York, September 2009. She is definitely Chris Whitley’s daughter!

For those of you who don’t know Chris Whitley, shame on you!
